Dannyall has always enjoyed listening to poetry and admired how people were able to creatively express themselves. After attending a few open mics nights on “Warm Wednesdays”, she decided to put her pen into action. She determined early on that she only wanted to create poems that people could relate to. Her first poem was titled Abortion. Dannyall wanted to tell The mother's side of why she didn’t want to keep the baby, but she also wanted the baby to express how they felt about being aborted. Since creating that poem, she has been asked to perform her poem in churches, schools, and other poetry events such as Poets in the Park. She is currently working on a poem called Bloody Streets and a Mother Grieves, hoping that her new poem can help stop the senseless killings in the streets.
