Years before Dannyall became a writer, she was a motivational speaker at her church. Not long after, other churches began inviting her to speak at their youth services and booking her for special occasions. She was once asked to be a speaker at a catholic church to speak to young girls that were placed in a detention center. That’s when Dannyall understood that listening was equally as important. The young girls began telling her their stories of how they ended up in the detention centers. She had deep empathy for a lot of the young girls because they were enduring adult situations so early in life. Because of that experience, Dannyall speaks at high schools and colleges. She plans to further expand where she speaks in the future to include untapped areas that need her touching words and her thoughtful actions. Dannyall’s goal is to help young people realize that they can still reach their goals and dreams even in the face of hardships and setbacks.
