About Author

Dannyall Terrell, whose name is pronounced Danielle, was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She was inspired to write her first novel because of her late mother, Delores Tate-Willis. Her mother was a registered nurse for the Baltimore City Public School system. One day, her mother was deeply troubled on learning that one of her students had contracted HIV at the tender age of seventeen. This news came as a shock and even led her to tears for quite a long time. Consequently, as a result of this sadness that she witnessed in her mother’s eyes,
Dannyall began waking up from her sleep during odd hours like 3 am and 4 am with a girl she never met before on her mind. This continued for a while and with all certainty, she knew she had to write about it. It inspired Dannyall to write the book Lost Little Girls, which contains four characters namely Amanda, India, Dashawnia, and Shelly. When you take the first Initials from each of the girls’ names, it spells AIDS. She enjoyed reading urban fiction novels such as True to the Game and wanted to produce a page-turning book that would make her readers value themselves especially after reading what her characters went through in high school. She also wanted to add spice to her novel by allowing the male characters to tell their side of the story and express why they did what they did to the females. Indeed, Danyall enjoyed the incredible feedback from all of her readers and it motivated her to write Lost Little Girl II Revenge is the Best Part.
